  Healing the paralytic   In Mark 2:3-12, we see Jesus healing a paralytic patient. However, Jesus said to the patient,  “ When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. ”  And then, in chapter 2 verses 9-12,  “ Whether it is easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.   Raising the dead son of the widow of Nain   In Luke 7:11-17,  “ And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.   Strive to enter through the narrow gate   (Luke 13:23-27)  “ Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity." Before Luke 13, numerous miracles of Jesus are introduced.
